Station Peak:

From Then to Now

For over a century, Station Peak has been at the heart of the Pavletich family story.

What began in 1855 with Herbert Meyer’s acquisition of Run 57. He went on to purchase Runs 56 & 58, increasing Station Peak to 31,000 ha, only to sell it 14 years later. Following a decision by locals in the 1880s, Station Peak was split into eight smaller blocks and auctioned.

From its humble beginnings, STATION PEAK has been SHAPED by generations of farmers, resilience, and a PASSION for PROGRESS.

Returning home in 2009 to embrace dairy farming, Olivia and Mike run the transformed operation with passion and dedication. Station Peak is now a thriving 1,380 ha dairy farm consisting of 683 ha of flat irrigated land, 37 ha of flat dryland, 110 ha of developed hill country, and 550 ha of extensive hills.

The historic homestead, originally two separate limestone buildings—a cookhouse and servants’ quarters—stands as a testament to its storied past. Today, Station Peak Homestead is a beacon of warmth, history, and hospitality.

Nearby, Walnut Cottage, which Olivia and Mike renovated and was featured on Grand Designs NZ, adds to the charm of this unique legacy.

Fast forward to today, and Station Peak is a bustling dairy operation producing 1,000,000 kg of milk solids annually. With advanced irrigation systems, dedicated staff, and a focus on sustainability, the farm continues to thrive. Mike and Olivia ensure Station Peak remains rooted in family values while embracing innovation to guarantee it’s ready for future generations. From its rich history to its forward-thinking vision, Station Peak is more than a farm—it’s a legacy in action.
